The neural therapy is a holistically oriented form of regulation therapy. Similar to the acupuncture it tries to get blocked healing processes going again. The neural therapy was developed by the German physician Ferdinand Huneke at the beginning of the last century. Local anesthetics, procaine derivatives, are injected into the skin or other organs through which out-of-control regulation systems should return to normal.
I use the neural therapy in a modified form to treat migraine, shoulder-neck complaints and pain in the lower lumbar region. The local anesthetic I use is Xylonest 1% and within 15 years I have not discovered any adverse side effects. I have never experienced second phenomenons as Huneke had described. In my opinion the neural therapy is a useful addition to my therapeutic range.
