Tennis elbow, tennis shoulder, tennis leg and tennis toe are the most typical injuries for tennis.
The tennis elbow is a condition when the lateral epicondylus, or occasionally the medial one, becomes painful and sensitive to pressure. But this diagnosis has to be made with restrictions because these complaints occur mostly doing activities which have nothing to do with tennis.
Only to a small percentage the
epicondylitis humeri radialis is caused by tennis, nevertheless it is a common overuse injury which has to be treated by orthopedists. The "tennis elbow" syndrome is probably caused by macroscopic or microscopic ruptures in the mutual attachment sites of the forearm flexor or extensor muscles.
